

He was born to Alfred Sr. and Elizabeth Casper on July 25, 1951 in New York, NY as an only child with his parents predeceasing him by 50 years. In 1988, Fred married his beloved wife Linda at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Their 36 years of marriage were blessed with two children, Michael and Elizabeth, and a daughter-in law, Melissa. He was a proud grandfather to be and a loving uncle to Jeffrey, Brian and Christina. Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and sailing at, and around, his home in West Taghkanic, New York. He loved to spend time working on his cars, motorcycles, boats, and farm equipment and was always ready and willing to lend a hand to friends and family. Fred forsake a career to raise his children, who he was very proud of, and volunteered as a coach for their baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer teams and aided in many of their school functions. A lifelong Yankees fan, Fred especially looked forward to every spring when he could watch his favorite team and attended many games. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers on Saturday, February 1st from 2-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
