Anna C. Quick

Anna C. Quick (nee Mottola) died on January 1, 2017 at age 82. Anna was on January 27, 1934 to Sabato and Teresa D’Aniello Mottola in the Bronx where she was raised and educated. She married Alexander M. Quick on July 27, 1957 in the Bronx, he died in 2001. Anna worked as a switchboard operator for NBC and later for St. John’s Hospital for 28 years retiring in 2002. She is survived by 2 children Alexandria (Sandi) Quick and John Quick, 2 granddaughters Christine Mahoney Jordan (Tommy) and Alexis Mahoney Cassanelli (Dom), and 4 great grandchildren Patrick Henry Jordan, Dylan Jordan, Dominick Cassanelli and Mina Cassanelli. Besides her husband Alexander she was pre deceased by her brother Anthony Mottola. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Friday at 10am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anna’s name to St. John’s Riverside Hospital.
