Annie is survived by her mother, Assunta T. DeGirolamo of Bronx, NY; husband, Michael A. Malizia, Sr; children, Michael A. Malizia, Jr and Nicholas S. Malizia. She is preceded in death by her father, Nicholas J. DeGirolamo, of Bronx, NY.
Annie was born on January 27th, 1958 in Bronx, New York to Nicholas J. DeGirolamo and Assunta T. DeGirolamo. She attended Saint Anthony’s grade school in Bronx, NY, graduated from Lincoln High School, Yonkers in 1976, and attended medical assistant and nursing school at Westchester Community College. She married her husband Michael, her high school sweetheart in 1982. She worked as a nurse at Montefiore Hospital for 15 years. As their life together continued to grow, the couple welcomed their two sons, Mikey (1987) and Nick (1994) into their home and set about teaching them love, respect, and compassion. Her sons remember her as their whole world and who encouraged them to pursue their goals as a Police Officer and Physician Assistant.
Annie was an accomplished chef who enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her friends and family. She was a selfless, generous, and caring woman who loved her friends, family, and dogs Marley and Chase.

Hours of Visitation are Friday, August 17th 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 18th 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 110 Shonnard Place Yonkers, NY. Entombment, immediately following the mass, 11:00 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Avenue Hawthorne, NY.
