

Elizabeth was called to her eternal rest on September 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 5, 1919 in Czechoslovakia to the late Alka (Zulko) and John Lorinc. Elizabeth came to Yonkers at the age of 18 and resided there for the past 72 years. She married Peter on September 21, 1946 in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she energetically practiced her Christian faith. Peter passed away in 2001. Elizabeth is survived by her three loving daughters; Nancy (Paul) Casner of El Paso, TX, Irene Tatti of New City, NY and Elaine (Christopher) Costeines of Maineville, Ohio. She also is survived by Eleven grandchildren; Kristen, Alexis (Christopher) Amanda, Jason (Heather), Erika, Melissa, Vanessa, Melanie, Jason (Jodi), Christian and Aaron and five great-grandchildren; Austin, Danica, Devyn, Matthew and Brian. All who knew Elizabeth will remember her wisdom, sense of humor, kindness and her humble way of bringing comfort and encouragement to others. Her intimate relationship with the Lord infused her with the compassion and love that enabled her to serve others while praying daily for family, friends and the world. Elizabeth's dedication to God and her enthusiasm for family love, and Slovak home-cooked food were appreciated by those who knew her best. Elizabeth is also predeceased by her brother John and sister Mary, two sons-in-law, John Tatti and David Sher, and her grand-daughter Allyson Casner. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday, September 10th from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
