
Geraldine King nee (Hennessey) of Yonkers died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at age 85. Born on August 5, 1928 to Stephen and Mary (Sullivan) Hennessey in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from St. Joseph Grade and Sacred Heart High School. Mrs. King worked as a Secretary for the C.I.A. in New York City. On July 15, 1967, she married Robert King in Sacred Heart Church, he survives. Geraldine was a Parishioner of Christ the King Church; former member of their Rosary Altar Society. School volunteer and very active with their Pro-Life movements. She also was active with CFCA – Adoptive Children Program and a member of the Fr. Solanus Casey Group. Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by two daughters; Mary of Yonkers and Norma (Jim) Waring of Mahopac, her three grandchildren; Colin, Shane and Kira; her brother Stephen Hennessey and sister Mary Dutcher. She was predeceased by siblings; John Hennessey, Edward Redican, Bernice Hennessey, Patricia Quinn and Joan Courchaine. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Friday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
