Honora A. Hartshorn

Honora A. “Honey” Hartshorn (nee Falihee), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. She was 76 years old. She was born on June 27, 1939 to Moe and Loretta Falihee in the Bronx where she was raised and educated.

One of her hobbies was collecting coins. She married her loving husband, Robert Hartshorn in the Bronx. Mr. Hartshorn died on October 30, 1991. Survivors include one son, Robert Hartshorn of North Carolina, one daughter, Theresa Mac Shane and her husband Brendan of Hartsdale, N.Y., one brother, John Falihee of Long Island and one sister, Marie Card of Connecticut. She is also survived by the love of her life, Ronald Pryzgoda and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Roger M. Hartshorn in 1985, a sister, Loretta O’Connell and a cousin, Thomas O’Connell. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday January 5th at 11am. Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory.
