
James O’Leary of Yonkers died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at age 56. Born on May 14, 1955 to Cornelius and Eileen (Ryan) O’Leary in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Manhattan College and received his Masters from Iona College. Mr. O’Leary was the Advertising Billing Manager for the Daily News for over thirty years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart, a member of the Southside Athletic Club in Hastings where he served as Treasurer. He also was a part owner of a race horse, who ran at Saratoga. James is survived by his brother Kevin (Linda) O’Leary of Darien, Ct. and three sisters; Eileen (Joseph) Greagor of Wappinger Falls, Joan (David) Muratore of Millwood, N.Y. and Patricia (Brian) O’Sullivan of Peekskill, his Cousin Elizabeth (Kenneth) Murphy of Colorado. He is also survived his seven nieces/nephews, Kristy, Kimberly and Joseph Greagor, James Muratore, Claire O’Leary and Aidan and Kiera O’Sullivan. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Monday, October 31st at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
