These last few days since Janice passed has absolutely shown the extent to which Janice has touched our hearts and souls.

Janice was a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, a friend, a classmate, an acquaintance, a co-worker, a sister-in-law, an aunt, a confidant, and now ~ an Angel.

For 56 years Janice faced unfathomable
medical struggles. She always had family and friends to love and support her. Janice is in a peaceful place now and with Dad, Matthew and the Glynn’s.

What I want to remember about Janice are the things that make me smile when I think of her and what gave Janice the most joy. Some of these memories include family vacations on Cape Cod with the Glynn’s for over 45 years; swimming at the Amackassin Club; rooting for the New York Yankees; graduating from Sacred Heart High School and Marymount College; celebrating family parties at The Harvest; being with family and friends; playing with nieces and nephews; being an active member of Sacred Heart Parish throughout her life and Janice’s closeness to our Mom.

I spoke with Janice right before her surgery and my last words to her were, “Janice, I love you”. Today I say, “Janice, I will love and remember you forever”. Instead of praying for Janice, I will pray to her and know she is always with me.

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Janice was such a kind person. As a child, I was a bit lost when my family moved to Sacred Heart- but Janice went out of her way to be friendly and welcoming. It was always good to see her at our class reunions. She was a good a person and a good friend, and she always cared about and for other people. The deep love she had for her family, especially her mom, was such a beautiful thing. My deepest condolences to you all; may God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Happy memories of Janice.

I am remembering fondly about the times over the years that the Glynn/Powers family were all at the Cape during the summer. Janice had one story that she would never forget and every time she mentioned it, we would all be laughing histerically! So the story goes…one day Janice was getting ready to go for breakfast with uncles Robert and Francis, and whoever else was ready to go, but when she got outside, everyone was gone. Robert and Francis had always said, if you are not ready on time “the bus is leaving” and it did! Janice never thought there was a chance they would leave without her….she was never late for another breakfast on the Cape!

Although we cannot be with you all in person, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

With deepest sympathy and love,
Janice Qashat (Cousin)

Janice was a dear true friend of my mine as well as my family. We will never forget her. We've known Janice for a long time and we felt like she was part of our family. We had many memorable great times and laughs and spent many times at our homes and get togethers. We would meet in Cape Cod when we could and have a great time - it's a place Janice loved. God bless you Janice ,we love you and you will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace our dear friend and angel in Heaven. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to Mrs Powers and her whole family.

I didn't really know Janice, however we were part of the same high school class for four years. We were both part of a special family, the sacred heart high school class of 1984, which makes us family. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. I am sure she will be missed by many. We now have another angel in heaven looking out for us and saving us a seat when it is our time. Janice will live on in our hearts and memories.
