Kathleen Woods

Kathleen Woods (nee McNulty) of Yonkers died on Sunday January 29, 2012 at age 86. She was born on April 22, 1925 to James and Mary (Clark) McNulty in Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools. Mrs. Woods was the owner of Neil’s Luncheonette on Nepperhan Avenue for many years. On December 2, 1951 she married Daniel A. Woods in Sacred Heart Church, he died in 1977. Her husband was the owner of Daniel’s Auto Wreckers of Yonkers. Kathleen was a member and donator to North Shore Animal League; Feed the Children Foundation; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Catholic Charities. She was a “Friend” to all. She is survived by her sister Ann O’Brien and her significant other Jim DiCarmine. She was predeceased by 4 brothers; James, Edward, John and William and 2 sisters Helen Nowakowski and Margaret Heinrichs. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday February 1st at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society 2 Lyon Place White Plains, NY 10601.
