Laura was born in Yonkers, in 1936, to the late William and Laura (Owen) Huntley. A graduate of Commerce High School. She retired from the Yonkers Library where she was cherished as a library clerk for more than 25 years. Laura was the beloved wife of Joseph Charles Moore, loving mother of Theresa (John) Fedak, Phyllis (Larry) Perez, and Debra (Ricky) Icaonetti, sister to the late Robert, Owen, and William Huntley. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
Visiting hours will be held at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Yonkers, NY on Wednesday, August 7 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in her name in lieu of flowers.
