Lucille (Lou I called her) was a neighbor for a long time, ever since the Jordans moved into Nepera Park. My family and hers were very close through 1963 when I moved my family to No. Virginia. I remember well her brother who we called "Buddy" and her sister Elaine who I took to the STEPINAC Senior Prom. Lou and I were dancing partners, the LINDY being our favorite step and the tune "I Wish That I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate". We spent hours together, since they had a "record player" and a spare room in the basement...probably still there.  I had been in touch with her up until her death, which I did not expect. We went to Mass together on Sunday  mornings via the TV and she was still very animated and vivacious, but obviously slowing down a bit. She was very proud of her family, and we talked about you-all quite a bit. I am sure she is reaping a well-deserved rest with Bob and Chris...God Bless you all...be glad you had her...she was one-of-a-kind....Sincerely, Dick

So sorry about your Mom, she was like a Mom to also many kids in Nepera Park. I was bleeding in her kitchen with her patching me up more times than I care to remember.

Your mom Lucille, was a loving and fun person, and  she lived a gracious life. Going forward without her will be difficult at times. My hope for you, your siblings and relatives, is to look to the God of the Heavens,  let him heal your pain with his words, “I will change their mourning into exaltation. I will comfort them and give them joy instead of their grief”. (Jeremiah 31:13b) Reflect on those words, so when you speak of your mom in the future, instead of pain and sorrow, it will bring joy, comfort and peace. I give to you my sincere condolence.

I remember the field days at St. Anthony's where Gramma would cheer Maggie on and root for Jordan. The joy she exuded was apparent and contagious, even if your child was on another team!  No one  was more proud, she was not only loving and supportive but also a true friend and confidante, involved in their  day-to-day lives.  I can see her at the parish picnic reclining with a smile on her face surrounded by friends and her adoring family.     May the memories bring you comfort and solace in the days ahead. Know always that she is with you, just in a different way.  God bless all of you .  She is in her Savior's loving care and her smile is beaming, hair perfectly styled, lipstick freshly applied.
