Meg was born in Yonkers on February 10, 1955, the daughter of Edward Janeczko, Sr. and Rosemarie (Mahan) Janeczko. A graduate of Blessed Sacrament Academy, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mercy College. She and her husband, Rich, were owners of R & M Delivery Service. She was previously employed by White Management Company. Meg was the beloved wife of Richard Shubert, whom she married on August 17, 1985. She was the devoted sister of Edward Janeczko, Jr. and wife, Kathleen; Thomas Janeczko (Lt. YFD ret.) Meg was the loving aunt of Brian Janeczko and wife, Christine; Suzanne Flynn and husband, Kenneth; and David Janeczko. She was the cherished great aunt of Matthew Janeczko and Charlotte, Gavin, and Patrick Flynn. She is also survived by her many cousins and friends. Meg was kind and caring and had a great sense of humor. She loved animals. An avid sports fan, she cheered for her New York Giants, Rangers, and Yankees. Recently she experienced the enjoyment and fun of singing Karaoke with her husband. Most of all, she treasured time with family and just being “Aunt Meg.” A wake will be held from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue, Yonkers, New York 10703. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Annunciation Church, 470 Westchester Avenue, Crestwood, New York 10707.
