

He was born on March 25, 1951 to Howard and Anna Mae Dessessow Fields in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Mr. Fields was employed by the City of Yonkers Parks and Recreation Department for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed music, fishing, playing cards, spending time and sharing meals with his family. In 1982, he married his loving wife Cheryl A. Wamack in Yonkers. Mrs. Fields died on November 19, 2014. Mr. Fields is survived by his two daughters, Katina Fields of Yonkers and Shawn Tanya Fields of Pelham, a son, Michael Fields Jr. of Yonkers, one brother, Jeffrey Fields of the Bronx, three sisters, Doris Andrews and Lydia Fields of Detroit and Sharon White of Yonkers, a son in law, Ernest Agyemang Sr. of Mt. Vernon, four brother in laws, Leon Andrews of Detroit, William Jacobs of Yonkers, Kenneth Jacobs of Yonkers and Darryl Jacobs of Brooklyn, three sister in laws, Dawn Wamack of Lancaster and Sharon and Linda Jacobs of Yonkers, fourteen grandchildren, Nashae Brown, Shavonnia Coles, Ariana Humbert and Jacari Humbert of Yonkers, Raheim Fields, Kellen Gill and Kawhi Gill of Pelham, Jaden Warren, Ernest Agyemang Jr., Tristian Agyemang and Maliyah Agyemang of Mt. Vernon, Z’air Fields and Z'ykira Fields of Ossining and Artist Fields of Harlem and two great grandchildren, Kylie Coles and Sierra Coles of Yonkers. He is predeceased by his daughter, Marcia Warren-Agyemang, a brother Howard Fields Jr., two brother in laws, Leon Wamack and Mark Jacobs and one sister in law, Geneva Johnson. He also leaves a host of other family members and friends and a special friend, Marvalyn Vanriel. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday March 5th from 4-8pm. Funeral service will be held in the Community Baptist Church on Wednesday March 6th at 11am. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
