
Otto F. Frey, died on April 4, 2014 at the age of 94. Otto was born on January 20, 1920 to Harold F. Frey and Frances Podlesny. He was a lifetime resident of Yonkers. Otto is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen (Walsh) Frey, twin brother Harold of Springfield, MA, and his brother Edward of Yonkers. Predeceased by his sister Mildred. Also surviving are his children: Robert (Doreen), Arlene Radding(Paul), Kathleen Lavelle(James) and Frances Masser(William). In addition, he is survived by his 8 grandchildren: Jennifer, Matthew, Matthew(Emma), Stephanie, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Suzanne and Aimee. Otto graduated from Gorton H.S. and proudly served in WWII as a Lt. in the Army Air Corp. where he was decorated with the Air Medal. Until his retirement in 1988 Otto ran Frey’S Dry Cleaners which was established since 1872 along with his brothers. A long time parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, where he was a member of the nocturnal adoration society. He was also a member of the Dry Cleaners Association, the Alan F. Waite American Legion Post 299, and the Amackassin Club. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday April 8th. From 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass will be held at Sacred Heart on Wednesday April 9th. At 9:30am. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church.
