
Richard spent his life working as a carpenter and was a member of the Empire State Carpenters Union - Local 149. He oversaw and worked on the construction of various properties throughout Westchester, including his own home which he built when he was just 22 years old during nights and weekends. In addition to carpentry, Richard loved fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed an occasional beer at the Hastings Southside Club.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth; his sons Richard Jr, Randy and Robert; his daughter-in-law, Lee; his grandchildren, Tyler, Amanda and Randy Jr; his great-grandchild, Kali and his beloved giant Bernese Mountain dog, Ozwald (affectionately known as Ozzy). He is also survived by his brother, Bobby and sister, Susan. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday ,August 30, 2012 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday August 31, 2012 at 9:30am Interment to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery.
