When Milford was just a bungalow and the outside shower did not survive the winter, I tried to solder the pipe back to working order. It wouldn't hold...time after time. Bob was on the deck and heard me share an explicative, and came around to see what I was doing. He watch as I cleaned the joint, smeared it with flux (with my finger) and attempted again. Didn't hold.....he bent down (beer in hand)and said, "This is your problem"......he pulled out his matchbook, and smeared the flux with a paper match. I re-soldered and it held!!!
He said, " The oil from your finger got in the way of the flux".
Throught the years we would talk abount construction and he gave me many a small tip on how to do something.
I will miss you Bob.....

Uncle Bobby had an early impact on my life. He was funny and cool. Many a times in Milford he made summers with the family so much more memorable. He touched my life in a fun and respectful way. He taught me that humor should be mutual and not mischievous. Was so glad later in life when we reconnected at the annual 4th of July celebrations. Diana, Nic and I will miss him dearly. His passing puts more Cocciardi family patriarchs in heaven than here on earth. He has touched many lives in ways none of us can know. He now joins our heavenly family to watch over us and now can see the enormous impact he made in so many lives.

So many great memories!  I was 10 when U Bob came home from the service and started dating Joan    They would take me in the bel air to pick up Inky at the airport  I felt so special and grown up! Watching them marry at Sacred Heart  Joan was a princess bride!  Eating dinner at 58 U Bob would have us kids banging on the table and chanting “ We want to eat”  until my mother, his sister Marie would say  Ok Bobby quit it ! and we would all laugh! His sense of humor was unique!  Christmas eves at their house  not even blizzards or 3 hour trips from upstate kept us away! Grateful for the time with my cousins babysitting even in college! I was trusted to care for all 4!   U Bob  you are in my heart forever!

So sorry to hear about Mr. Vigliotti. He was a wonderful man who gave up his time to coach the girls basketball ball team for us at Christ the King. I loved going to your house, especially in the summer as the best pool inYonkers was at the Vigliotti’s. Such a welcoming family, rest in peace Mr. V.
