

Rosie was born on September 2, 1933, to the late Peter and Josephine Dronzek. She was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters: Terry (Nick) Lynkowski, Dorothy (Joe) O’Buck, Agnes (Bob) Pryzgoda, Maryanne (Gene) O'Connor, Josephine (John) Popovic, Peter (Grace) Dronzek, Paul (Barbara) Dronzek, and Joseph Dronzek.
Rosie was a proud graduate of St. Casmir Grade School and Commerce High School. Her education laid the foundation for a successful career with the City of Yonkers and General Foods, where she dedicated over 32 years of service. Rosie's work ethic and commitment to her community were unparalleled, but her true pride and joy were found in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and the generations that followed.
A woman of deep faith, Rosie was a devout Christian and a long-time parishioner of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. Her spirituality was a guiding force throughout her life, and she generously volunteered her time writing church bulletins in Polish at St. Casmir Church. Rosie's kindness extended beyond her church walls as she served as a volunteer at St. John's Hospital for over two decades, offering comfort and care to those in need.
Rosie's nurturing spirit was evident in her role as the primary caregiver for her mother and her beloved Aunt (Ciocia). She managed this responsibility with grace and unwavering love, ensuring their final years were filled with comfort and dignity. Her selfless nature was a beacon of light to all who knew her.
Traveling, family photography, and spending holidays with loved ones were among Rosie's favorite pastimes. She captured countless memories through her lens, documenting the joyful moments and milestones that knit the fabric of her family's history. Rosie's presence at family gatherings was a cherished gift, and her absence will be deeply felt at every future celebration.
Rosie will be remembered for her kind, faith-filled, and loving spirit. Her legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell to Rosie, we take solace in the knowledge that her life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds.
Rosie's life will be celebrated in a funeral mass at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire kindness and love in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, located at 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY, 10703, on Tuesday January 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 10 Squire Ave, Yonkers, NY, 10703, on January 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, 10706.
