Sharon Tickell

Sharon Tickell (nee Barnett) of Yonkers died on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at age 73. Born on January 8, 1943 to John and Ruth (Eichel) Barnett in Yonkers where she was raised and educated and graduated from Gorton High School. Mrs. Tickell worked as a Branch Manager for (County Trust) Bank of New York for over thirty years retiring in 2002. On July 15, 1961, she married Cammie A. Tickell, Jr. in Christ the King Church; he died in 2008. Sharon was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and volunteered her time sewing for Rosary Hill Home through Christ the King Church. She is survived by her son Cammie A. (Jean) Tickell, III and her grandson Jack and her brother Thomas Barnett. She was predeceased by her son John who died in 1985. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Monday, Sept. 12th at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
