

Stanley was born on January 15th, 1941 to Michael Stanley Licovitch and Mary Toneske and graduated from Yonkers High School in 1959.
On April 11th, 1964, He married the love of his life, Lois (Begley) at Sacred Heart Church Yonkers, New York and together they recently celebrated their 62-year wedding anniversary.
Stanley worked as a Chief Overhead Lineman for Con Edison in Eastview, New York for 49 years before retiring in 2009. He also worked as a Security Sergeant for Yonkers Raceway for over 40 years before retiring in 2011.
When he was not working, Sonny enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and summers in the Poconos with family and friends. He was also an avid Yankees fan.
Stanley was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Yonkers, New York. He is survived by his wife Lois, daughters Lori (Ronald) Sabatini, Michele Licovitch and his two beautiful granddaughters Gianna and Madison. He is also survived by his sister Dolores (Lawrence) Koppe and many nieces and nephews. Stanley was predeceased by his sister Jean (Robert) Burns.

Visiting Hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703 on Tuesday April 21, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Catholic Church, 740 N Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701 on Wednesday April 22, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, 209 Truman Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703.
