Susan Smallwood

Susan Norton Smallwood, 75 of Yonkers, N.Y, passed away on January 21, 2014. Widow of Richard Smallwood, mother to daughters Dale Smallwood and Lee Smallwood and sister to David Norton. Susan was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on April 2, 1938. She attended Gorton High School and went on to the State Universities of New York at Oswego and Albany for her undergraduate and graduate work. Susan worked for the Yonkers Public School System for thirty six years until her retirement in 1996. Over the years she directed as well as acted in theater both locally and regionally. Most of all she loved to throw a good party. Viewing to be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue, Yonkers, N.Y. on Friday, January 24th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, January 25th at 11:30 a.m. at North Yonkers Community Church located at the First Reformed Church, 18 Farragut Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
