Thomas Cornelius Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Thomas Cornelius - passed away on August 31, 2017 at the age of 89 years old. He is survived by his devoted wife Joy (nee: Burroughs) & adoring children Matthew (Adrienne) of Vallejo, CA & Claire Heatley (Jason) of Sparkill, NY. He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Connor, Griffin, & Megan. Thomas was born in Melrose, MA in 1928 to parents Francis & Honora Sullivan (nee: Doherty) & developed a love for the Boston Red Sox & the New England Patriots. He was a proud graduate of Stonehill College, the University of Notre Dame, & Fordham University. Thomas led a long, varied & interesting career in public service &, along with his wife Joy, was a 39yr resident of Yonkers where they settled and raised their family. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue Yonkers, New York 10703 (914)-965-5488 on Thursday Sept. 7 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart on Fri Sept. 8 at 9:30am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers.
