Born in New York, NY on December 23, 1939, she graduated from New Canaan High School in New Canaan, CT where she met her future husband, Kenneth A. Frate. Kenneth predeceased her on March 31, 1977.
Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother to her three children and seven grandchildren. She was a talented artist and continued to enjoy creating art work in different mediums her entire life.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Kimberly A. and Michael R. Caro of Annapolis, Maryland; Douglas D. and Christine Frate of Irvine, CA and Elizabeth K. and Michael E Crumrine II of North Andover, MA; her seven grandchildren, Katie Caro, Ian Caro, Grace Caro, Dominic Frate, Cole Crumrine, Kenna Crumrine and Maegan Crumrine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
