A native Californian, Loydean had been a resident of Orange County for 69 years. She was born May 20, 1933 to Felix and Alma Parra in Los Angeles. A graduate of Santa Ana High School, Loydean attended Immaculate Heart College on a scholarship. A proud Navy wife, she supported her husband, William Allen, and five children through multiple cross-country moves in the service of her country. Loydean and Bill settled in Placentia in 1974 and lived there nearly 50 years. Her favorite color was sky blue. She was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook, and a loving wife. After her children were grown, she taught at Tuffree Middle School and Wagner Elementary School in Placentia. She enjoyed collecting treasures at local thrift stores. Her favorite song was “Side by Side” and her favorite movie was “The Earthling.” Loydean is survived by her husband of 70 years, William Dale Allen, and her children, Colleen, Kathleen, William, John, and Matthew. Loydean had eleven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Allison, Laura, Ingrid, Sarah, Thomas, James, Joseph, George, Michael, and Ryan. She called them her ‘huggables’ and we will all miss her very much.
