

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15th, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Yorba Linda, California. Pastor Bob Mooney will be officiating. The burial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Brea, California. Father Herman Joszef Rettig will be officiating.
Magdolna was born in Budapest, Hungary as Magdolna Sipos on January 14, 1934 to Margit and Imre Sipos. Magdolna was one of twelve children. She grew up as a young child during World War II and as a young adult during the Hungarian Revolution. She worked in a textile factory and also at an electronics manufacturing company. She lived as a refugee in Sweden for four years. From Sweden she immigrated to the United States in 1964 to join her brother Emery. She proudly became a United States citizen in 1973. In America, she met Dr. Ivan Ruzics and they were married in Lake Tahoe, California in 1970. This July would have been their 53rd wedding anniversary.
Magdolna will be remembered for being a kind, compassionate and selfless woman who loved nothing more than her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took great pleasure in cooking and baking traditional Hungarian foods for her family and passing on her Hungarian culture to the younger generation. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband.
Magdolna is survived by her husband, Dr. Ivan Ruzics; her children, Andrea Ruzics Burrows, Dr. Thomas Ruzics, Dr. Ervin Ruzics, and Ivan Ruzics; her eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters Vilma Englehart, Marika Szabo, and her brother Sandor Sipos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight of her siblings, and her grandson, Kevin Ruzics.
