Bob was a true gentle giant. His selflessness and compassion toward all people were not apparent by his quiet demeaner, but it did not take much to realize that Bob had a heart of gold. Although that wonderful heart gave out on him, we know that it will forever be present as he looks over us from Heaven. Psalm 116:15. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
After debating whether to play golf, Bob’s wife, Shelby told him, “Do us both a favor and play on Monday because you’re a grumpy-pants when you don’t.” Bob easily took Shelby’s advice. Bob finished his 18th hole on 03/29/21. While stepping out of his golf cart he collapsed from what was determined to be a catastrophic heart event. It took him instantly. Bob was surrounded by his golf family, whom he cherished immensely. Our grief is, at times, unbearable, yet we value that Bob passed after participating in what he loved most.
Bob is survived by his wife and best friend of 21 years, Shelby, his beloved children, Brandi and Bobby (Jackie), his adored grandchildren, Angelo, Harvey, Atzi, Bobby, Quetzali, and Amedeo, his Brother/Compadre Manuel and Sister Alamar, as well as so many others who deeply loved Bob.
