DALLASTOWN

Donna R. (Thorpe) Myers, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her daughter's residence in Brownstown, PA.

Celebration of Life services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday August 9, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church, 45 S. 9th St., Akron (Lancaster County), officiated by the Rev. George Frantz, and 7 p.m., Tuesday August, 15, 2017 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, officiated by the Rev. Roger H. Mentzer.

Born June 28, 1933 in Dallastown, she was the daughter of the late Homer S. and Rhelda R. (Markey) Thorpe.

She worked at the Bon-Ton at Queensgate for over 10 years and Liberty Mutual Insurance for 18 years until her retirement in 1994.

Donna was an avid ballroom dancer. She loved to read, travel, camp, have family dinners and was also very involved in her family's ancestry.

She was a member of the Historical Society in Dallastown, The Beautification Committee of Dallastown, Minority Clerk for voting in Dallastown, Women of Faith member and a financial assistant at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was also involved in private investigating with her husband.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her son, Jeffrey E. Myers; daughter, Constance Frantz and husband, George; three grandchildren, Dawn Marie Fichera and husband, Mark, Eric Myers and Benjamin Myers; two great-grandchildren, Dustin Fichera, Madeline Myers; and many other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ephrata Cancer Center, 460 N. Reading Rd. Ephrata, PA 17522.
