Frances Blanche (Miller) Dellinger, 89, was ushered to Heaven by the Lord's angels on Friday, May 25, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran on Sprenkle Dr. She was the widow of Stanley T. Dellinger, the couple shared 66 years of marriage before his passing. Born on October 19, 1928 in Fulks Run, VA, she was the daughter of the late Stella (Richie) and Jesse Miller.
Frances was employed in office work for Richard Thoman Ins. Agency, was a private duty nurse, an ambulance attendant, and was employed in a sewing factory. She was also a school crossing guard.
She was a member of the Madison Ave. Brethren Church for twenty years.
Mrs. Dellinger was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Carolyn Copenheaver, husband Larry, Gerry Sharp, husband George; son, Bradley Dellinger, wife Lynn; four grandchildren, Dr. Duane Copenheaver, Jeffrey Pettit ( Robyn), Melissa Dellinger, Wendy King (Brian); seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Geneva Shafer, Charles Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded by a son, Stanley Dellinger; and six siblings.
A viewing will be on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York. Services begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Godfrey officiating. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
