Nevin E. Snyder, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, March 16, 2018 at home. He was the loving husband of Judy A. (Becker) Snyder; together they shared 49 years of marriage.

Born Monday, September 1, 1947 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Lewis E. and Velma I. (Rohrbaugh) Snyder.

Nevin was a loving father and husband; he cherished his family and the time they spent together. Nevin enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles, being outdoors, and sports; he specifically liked the Baltimore Orioles, Penn State, and Tony Stewart.

In addition to his wife, Nevin is survived by two sons, Brad A. Snyder and his wife, Christina of Johnstown, Vance A. Snyder and his wife, Fraya L. of Hanover; a grandson, Aidan Miliate; four siblings, Mark Snyder and his wife, Darlene of McSherrystown, Daniel Snyder and his wife, Pauline of Hanover, Diane Conley and her husband, Dwayne of Spring Grove, and Wayne Snyder and his wife, Lisa of Hanover.

In addition to his parents, Nevin was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Legore.

Nevin is also survived by his baby kitty, Midnight; and his grand-dogs, Grier, Groot, Gamora, and Spanner.

Nevin worked for P.H. Glatfelter of Spring Grove for 37 years. After retirement he worked at Weis Market for ten years.

A service to celebrate the life of Nevin E. Snyder will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with Rev. Gregory A. Rapp officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Pallbearers will be; Brad A. Snyder, Vance A. Snyder, Jeremy Welsh, Scott Becker, Tim Legore and Ted Legore
