Shirley M. (Gillespie) Vencill went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 4:03 p.m. at York Hospital at the age of 83.
She leaves her three children, Thomas E. Vencill (comp., Mary) of Bridgeton, Linda D. Olivar of Yoe, Randall W. Vencill (Juanita) of VA; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne Gillespie and Rose Tatum; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter, Norma L. Amspacher; son, William "Rick" Vencill; and sister, Jean Criggar.
A Service of Honor and Praise for Shirley will be on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Viewings will be on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wed. from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested monetary donations to the funeral home to assist them during this difficult time.
