Hector Manuel Cruz

Hector Manuel Cruz, was born on February 17 1941 in Coto Laurel, Ponce Puerto Rico. He passed away peacefully in his home on August 25

2024 in Phoenix Az.

Hector grew up in Bronx New York City with his mom and oldest brother Ralph Cruz. He met his wife Dolores Ramos at the age of 28 and later at the age of 32 left New York and moved to Modesto Ca. In 1974 he had a daughter named Kathleen his only child.

He worked in the garment district in NYC Manhattan until he moved to California where he started working for a convalescence hospital and then went to working for Memorial Hospital in 1978 as a Housekeeper. He worked there until 2003 where he retired at 62. He then moved to Puerto Rico for one year and then moved to Phoenix Az in 2005. His wife passed away in 2017.

His passion was fixing old cars and loved classics and watching classic shows. He loved Marilyn Monroe. He also was a big salsa and old school Motown music lover. He was very close to his daughter and his niece. He was a very funny and loving man that everyone loved. He loved to make people laugh.

Hector is survived by his daughter and three grand kids and his two brothers and his niece. He will always be remembered by his daughter and grandkids to be the best father and grandfather anyone could ever want. He will truly be missed.
