John was born on February 20, 1979 in Michigan City, Indiana to John and Hope Bridgewater. He was preceded in death by his Dad, John L. Bridgewater and his sister, Darla Campion. He is survived by his wife, Jessica, daughter, Stacia, Mom, Hope McColm of Glendale, AZ, Step-Dad, Bob McColm of Glendale,AZ, sisters, Kathy Smith of Glendale, AZ, Kristy Wickenhauser of Laporte, IN, Deb Hall of Waddell, AZ, Step-Brother Jayson McColm of Phoenix, AZ and Step- Sister Charmaine McColm of Glendale, AZ.
Being the youngest of five kids and the only boy, John had plenty of mothering, but he was all boy. He was active, stubborn and curious. He loved the outdoors, playing volleyball, dirt bike riding and listening to music. He had a heart for helping others and loved spending time with kids. He was known as Uncle John not only to his nieces and nephews, but also to his friends kids, whom he loved as his own.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 10:00am at Apollo Baptist Church, 11611 N 51st Avenue, Glendale, AZ.
