John was a sports enthusiast, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played little league baseball, high school football, basketball and baseball. He was on a golf league for several years while working at Sears in Columbus with many friends. He graduated from Gahanna High School, Gahanna, Ohio and Mata Electronic Data Processing College.
He is survived by his wife Arlene, of 40 years. Sister Judy, nephews Tim (Teri), Jimmy, and niece Lisa (Greg). Stepdaughters: Telena (Celso), Loretta (Ron) and Angie (David). Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He has gone to join his loved ones who have preceded him in death including his mother Martha, Father John A. Sr., and brother-in-law Jerry. John loved his animals that brought him comfort through his illness.
A special thank you to Carol, a very close family friend for prayers and support. Also, the staff at Banner Hospice for their excellent care.
John will be missed by all of his family, who loved him very much. A celebration of John’s life will be at a later date
