Lenora is survived by her Husband Bob Franklin, her children Jeff, Jill, and Steve, as well as six grandchildren (Brittany, Courtney, Steffany, Torri, Max, and Joe), and five great-grandchildren (London, Amaya, Brooklyn, Ryder, and Theodore).
Lenora was born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma but grew up in Wichita, Kansas. It was there she met her husband of 58 years while working at a Kresge store. They were married in 1962 and immediately moved to Denver, Colorado. There were many moves throughout her life in the mid-west, and California. Bob and Lenora lived in Glendale, Arizona the longest for 19 years before moving in with their youngest son in Monument, Colorado.
Lenora loved her husband with all her heart and soul. Her children, including her daughters-in-law Devon and Tracy, and daughter’s partner Michael, and all the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren meant the world to her.
Throughout her life she worked at the telephone company, in retail positions, and owned a dry-cleaning business with her husband before retiring from Safeway pharmacy billing. Above all she considered her vocation, wife and mother. She sewed her daughter’s wedding dress by hand and created crafts which were cherished by family. While living in Glendale Lenora was a member of the Red Hat Society and attended Palm Croft Church.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Advantage Golden Door Chapel in Youngtown, Arizona at 11:00 AM. Internment at Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona will take place immediately after. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the American Cancer Society.
