Mary Ann Walker

Mary Ann Walker, age 79, of Peoria, Arizona passed away at the Silverado Peoria Memory Care Community on October 26, 2016. Mary Ann was born on October 14, 1937 to Haden and Edith Beltz in Winnebago, Nebraska where she grew up and graduated high school.

Mary Ann met the love of her life, Jim Walker, in high school and they were married on November 4, 1956. The couple settled in Phoenix, Arizona in the late 1960’s to address Jim’s health condition and later moved to Maryvale where they raised their four children.

Mary Ann was a full time working mother and spent her adult life working as a legal secretary for Jones, Skelton and Hochuli Law Firm until her retirement in 2004. In addition to working full time she cared for a disabled husband and raised their four children.

Mary Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother. She was proud of her family and was excited to be the grandmother to ten grandchildren, and seven, soon to be eight, great grandchildren. Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and attending her children and grandchildren’s activities.

Mary Ann was the beloved with of Jim Walker who passed away March 21, 2000. She is survived by her children Jim Walker, Jr. and his wife Nancy, Luann Green and her husband Scott, Jeanette Pilch and her husband Mike, and Andy Walker and his wife Rose. Mary Ann had seven siblings and she is survived by John Beltz of Milwaukee, Oregon, Delores Jensen of Twenty Nine Plams, California and Linda Lampman of Red Wing, Minnesota.
