

Tammy Venechuk, 57 of Surprise, Arizona passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017. No matter what you were to Tammy, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, or Friend, Tammy was loved by all. She was a fighter having fought Crohns disease and Diabetes for many years.
She was born in Wakeeney, Kansas on July 20, 1959 to Robert and Jennie. She spent her childhood in Wakeeney and during high school moved to Almena, Kanas and then to Graham, Texas where she graduated from Graham High School. As a young adult Tammy moved back to Wakeeney to care for her Grandma and Grandpa Lorenz then moved to Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, she received her AA in Mechanical Drafting from Red Rocks Community College. One day in Denver Tammy went grocery shopping and not only picked up groceries but was stalked by Matthew and eventually married him. Matthew and Tammy were married on December 12, 1987. After getting married Matthew and Tammy moved to RAF Little Rissington in England where Matthew was stationed in the Air Force. After England they were stationed in Omaha where Austin came into their lives. From Omaha they were transferred to Phoenix Arizona where they spent the last 20 years.
Tammy loved being Mom. She spent every minute she could taking Austin to karate, swimming or volunteering at his schools. Tammy had the opportunity to travel to Germany with Austin to spend a few weeks with Matthew when he was on temporary duty.
Tammy also loved traveling and when not at home in Phoenix she enjoyed spending time with all of her family whether in Kansas, Texas or Colorado. Her last big adventure was a trip in October 2016 to Hawaii. She fell in love with the islands and was looking forward to returning someday.
Tammy is survived by her husband Matthew Venechuk, son Austin Venechuk, sisters Peggy Carter (Jim), Kelly Bliss (Lee), brothers Terry Zordel (Lau), Danny Zordel (Loretta), and Tim Zordel (Sandy), her parents Robert Zordel (Linda) and Jennie Clews (Earl). She is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Golden Door Chapel, 11211 W. Michigan Avenue, Youngtown, Arizona 85363. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or Phoenix Childrens Hospital.
She is, was and will forever be Matthew’s pride and joy. Tammy will be greatly missed by all.
