

"Frito Man"
Born 10-10-1944 in Coleman OK.
Passed away at the age of 67 at his home with his family by his side.
His family moved to Yucaipa, Ca. in 1952 and he attended Yucaipa schools thru High School and played in little league and High School sports.
In 1961 he joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Yorktown thru1966 and was a Vietnam Vet.
On July 22, 1967 he married Laura (Harms) Dean. They had three boys, Ben, Tom and Mike. As a family they enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and family trips. As the boys grew, he became their coach of their Yucaipa Little League teams, basketball and was always involved with their Junior All American Football teams. His family always came first.
He played on several men's softball teams and golfed. Later years he and his sons played in the Frito Lay tournaments that they always won.
He worked at Stater Bros. for 8 years and then worked at Frito Lay for 32 years mostly in Yucaipa and Calimesa area.
He retired in April 2005.
He was always their for his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and great grandfather and adored his great granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife and sole mate of 45 years, Laura Dean of Yucaipa, Sons Ben, Mike and Rene Dean of Yucaipa. Five grandkids, Alysa, of Yucaipa, Daniel and Brian of Lake Havasu, AZ., Ashley and Carrie of Yucaipa and 3 step grandkids, Cristal, Christian and Erica of Yucaipa and his great granddaughter , the apple of his eye, Angelique who he named (charge). His brother James of Yucaipa and sisters Wanda Bird of Yucaipa, Lola McKinney of Texas and Helen Shelton of South Carolina and many nephews, nieces and life long friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, Carl and his beloved son Thomas Dean.
Viewing will he held on Friday, September 14 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Weaver-Hughes Mortuary at 33629 Yucaipa Blvd. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1:30 pm at Bryant Street Baptist Church with a reception following at Yucaipa Elks Lodge, 12165 2nd. Street,Yucaipa and Graveside Services will be held at 1:30pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Staging Area #3, Riverside, Ca. 92518 on Monday, September 17, 2012.
