Ernest Mel Guillen

Ernie was born April 5, 1957 to Ray and Louisa Guillen, in San Bernardino, CA. He was the youngest sibling to brothers David and Ron, and sister Lydia.

Ernie had a successful career as the manager of the Printing and Reprographic Department and later as the Energy manager at Colton Joint Unified School District. He recently retired after 36 years.

Ernie married the love of his life, Gwen, in 1979. Ernie was the proud father of three sons, Greg, Mike, and Ben.

He was blessed with two daughters-in-law, Kate and Teresa, and two beautiful granddaughters, Phoebe and Whitney.

Ernie proudly served his community volunteering as a coach in baseball and soccer, as well has volunteering on various commitees that served children in need. He was passionate about fishing, hockey, and spending time with family.

Ernie was the recipient of organ donation. He was extremely grateful to his donor and

to the dedicated transplant teams at UCLA and Kaiser Hospital. The
