Today is Father’s Day and just learned of my dad’s passing. I wish we had more time together, but am grateful for all the memories I do have in my heart. I am missing you especially today dad, and just want to thank you for just being dad. You worked harder than any man I know, you believed in doing everything right or you didn’t do it. I have carried those same habits in my own life. I can still see you in the recliner, lights dimmed, cigarette lite, and oldies, like Johnny Mathis playing loudly in the background. I love you dad, and it is my prayer that I will see you again.

This picture was taken at Knott’s Berry Farm as my husband, Jim,  my mom, Bonnie, and Kenny all went for the famous chicken dinner there. It was a great time with family and fun. Didn’t know that would be my last.

Here is a picture of dad, mom, grandma and grandpa, his grandson Robby, and granddaughter Camila, and my sister Trena. Me and Jr in the picture as well! We used to have so much fun sitting at the table playing games, talking and just hanging out! I sure miss those days!!!! 

I have many amazing memories with my dad! He taught me how to fish and my son who because of my dad loves fishing to this day! My dad was an amazing worker and taught me the importance of hard work. Time goes by so fast as I sure wish we had more. My dad leaves behind 8 beautiful great grandchildren and 4 grandkids! My dad was such an amazing worker as most of his life. He worked at least two jobs at one time. He truly left a legacy of the importance of hard work and taking care of your family which has passed through me to my kids and great grandkids because of my dad. we often go fishing and talk about my dad and how he finished and prepared the lines and poles and to this day, I still prepare them in the same manner. Another great memory of my dad was how meticulous he was about his yard. Our yard was always kept so clean and once again, I do the same thing and my kids do the same thing because of him. Well, he will be truly missed and I pray that one day when the Lord takes me home I will see him again! Jesus is our rock!
