Mrs. Rita Louise Taylor

Rita was born May 25, 1939 in Chicago, IL. to Frank and Minnie Schawrz.

Her family soon moved here to Southern California, and she graduated from Redlands High School in 1957.

Rita was a staple of the Yucaipa/Calimesa community since the 1970s as the owner and operator of Rita's Hallmark Store in Calimesa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Frank, her husband Jon Taylor and many beloved dogs.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as many generations of local patrons that will forever miss shopping in her store.

The rosary for Rita will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 12687 California St, Yucaipa, California 92399.

Her funeral mass will occur Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, also at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 12687 California St, Yucaipa, California 92399.

Her burial will occur Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California 92518.
