Ann was born to the late Ellis and Ora Miller on Sept 17,1951 in Sanpete County, Utah. She grew up in Manti, Utah alongside her brother and sister, Bruce Miller and Fay Truitt. Knowing she wanted to be a nurse all her life, she graduated from Manti High School and went on to earn her nursing degree at Weber State College. She met her husband and favorite person, Bruce Archibald, on a blind date while she was finishing up her associate degree. They married soon after in the Manti LDS temple on March 16, 1972. She and Bruce had their first child together in Salt Lake City, adding another child in Vernal, Utah, then followed the warmth to Yuma, Arizona where they grew their family by three more children.
Ann was a registered nurse for 40 years and worked in labor and delivery at YRMC for the majority of her career. There, she was lovingly nick-named “Annie” by her co-workers. She loved her job and was loved and respected by her peers. She adored her grandchildren and always took the time to teach them everything she knew. She loved animals, cooking everything from scratch, sewing, scrapbooking, sudoku and reading. She had a distinct boisterous laugh that she passed down to her daughters. She was kind, wise and a peacemaker by nature. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints her entire life and loved the many years she served in the primary presidency.
Ann loved her family, and after her retirement, spent the summers traveling with her husband to visit them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We know there was a joyous reunion in heaven with her parents, eldest son Melbourne Wade Archibald and her favorite dog, Buddy.
She is survived by her husband Donald Bruce Archibald, children Stephanie Archibald (Jeff Rooze), Teri Burinda (Ed Burinda), Andrea Archibald (Chris Peynado), Kevin Archibald and Angela Carlock (Kevin Carlock) as well as 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
