

Carolyn was born April 2, 1939, in Farmington, Maine, the daughter of the late Rev. Louis C. Toppan and Mrs. Adra Toppan. Prior to her lengthy illness, Carolyn loved to dance and travel. She always enjoyed reading, singing, arts and crafts, and being with friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Robin L. Walker, of Maine; Kimberley A. Walker and husband Michael Sullivan, of Massachusetts, and Mark D. Walker, of Georgia. Her grandchildren who survive her are Eric Asmussen, Owen Asmussen, Cole Asmussen, David Walker, and Madison Walker. She is also survived by her sister, Dorinda Toppan and husband Ray Peterson, of Massachusetts, and her brother, Peter Toppan and wife Nancy Toppan, of Massachusetts. She is survived, as well, by several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Vern Langager, of Yuma, AZ.
The family thanks the staff at Palm View for their loving care of Carolyn. The family also thanks Hospice of Yuma, and the Yuma County Public Fiduciary for their care and concern.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Johnson Mortuary and Desert Lawn Memorial, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364. Donations in Carolyn’s memory can be made to Hospice of Yuma, or to a charity of your choice.
