Hazel was one of those Aunts where I was always welcome in her home and she always had food, desert and a pot of coffee was always brewing or ready to brew.  Both Hazel and her husband Hubert had major influence in my life when growing up and I know many others that could say the same.  The dedication she had to the church and the ministry of the Lord and the family made her very special.  
I remember when I was young in the 1st grade that our family made a long distance move, after 6 months with no sign of work for my dad we moved back and she took our family in, we spent a few weeks living in her home.  I remember the family support but most of all I remember this was the first real exposure I had to Jesus.  Through that short stay in her home I started attending church and Sunday School and after just a few weeks my parents both started attending and I can still remember the Sunday that they accepted Christ.  Our family was totally changed a new direction was given all by that short stay in Hazel's home.  She was one that always encouraged me over the years as well as my wife and my children, she always treated us like we were one of hers. I will never forget her laughter and how she enjoyed her life, but most of all the people she influenced that will be in heaven because she cared.  
I know I do not hurt near as much as her kids and grandchildren but she will be deeply missed and one day I will get to see her again.  My dad is there as well as several other of her brothers and sisters and one day we well have a great reunion.
