

Irene "Queenie" Duran, 88, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011. She was born in Andrade, CA on August 16, 1923.
Irene was a cashier for Sanguinetti store and a waitress for Eduardo's Mexican Food. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and graduated from Yuma High School.
Irene is survived by her husband, Pedro V. Duran of Yuma; son, Thomas Munoz of Sacramento, CA as well as eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Rodney "Bardy" Duran and Dennis "Squeaky" Duran.
A Wake and Rosary will be held at Johnson Mortuary Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A Mass service will take place at Immaculate Conception Church Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Monsignor O'Keeffe will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Joel Munoz, Gabriel Duran, Thomas Munoz Jr., Nick Duran, Ritchie Duran, Michael Duran, Ernest Munoz and Dan Duran.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dan Velazquez, Ben Velazquez, Charlie Duran, Mike Munoz, David Jaramillo, Richard Jaramillo, Ed Munoz, Thomas R. Munoz and Dominic Contreras.
