Jo graduated from Yuma High School and married the love of her life Dick Foree in 1950. In addition to working as an office manager for a CPA firm, she served as a Cub Scout den mother, a little league score-keeper, Kofa sports fan, and professional mentor.
Dick and Jo were happily married for 61 years until his death in 2012. Jo is survived by her brother Bill (Red) Phillips of Flagstaff. She is also survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Michael Foree (Carol Engler), Kent Foree (Cathy Greey) and Scott Foree (Sally Baker). She is also survived by her grandson Shawn Foree; granddaughters Kristin Foree Tobias (Ben Tobias), Kimberly Foree, Emily Foree and Maggie Foree, great grandchildren Sheva Burg, Josephine Tobias and Benjamin Hunter Tobias, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Mass will be Thursday, November 3, at 10:00 AM. at St. Thomas Mission over looking the Colorado River in California. Burial in Desert Lawn will immediately follow the services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations to the Yuma Food Bank be made in her name.
