Martha Marquez

Martha was the definition of a great mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who provided unconditional love to anyone and everyone.

Working 2 jobs the majority of her life, she dedicated herself to being the best mother to her children: The struggle and strength she experienced raising four kids on her own helped her with a long battle with breast cancer, but that didn’t stop her from lending a hand when needed. Spending time with her grandkids reenergized her and put the biggest smile on her face. She held all her grandkids every chance she got and, in the moment, seemed as if she was pain free.

Martha was the kind of person who was so selfless that she always put herself second or last. She still found time for her family in between jobs while making sure to attend every high school sporting event, ceremony, and graduation. She had everyone’s birthday memorized and never missed the opportunity to show up with a cake.

She had a pure heart filled with kindness and love which was infectious and evident by the number of people that cared for her.

Martha was born in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. She was preceded in death by father Maximiano Rodriguez and brother Alberto Rodriguez. She is survived by her children: Luis (39), Robert (36), Joanna (29) and Monique (24), grandkids: Diego and Leo Marquez; Robert, Cruz, Lola, and Kai Marquez; Jonathan, Ruby, and Bridget Gonzalez, her mother Agustina Rodriguez along with her siblings Silvia Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Rosa (Patrick) McGlone, and Miguel Rodriguez.

Martha fue la definición de una gran madre, abuela, hija, hermana y amiga que brindó amor incondicional a cada persona de su vida.

Teniendo 2 trabajos la mayor parte de su vida, se dedicó a ser la mejor madre para sus hijos. La lucha y la fuerza que experimentó al criar a cuatro hijos solo la ayudaron con una larga batalla contra el cancer, pero eso no le impidió hecharle una mano a quien la ocupara cuando era necesario. Pasar tiempo con sus nietos la revitalizó y puso la sonrisa más grande en su rostro. Sostuvo a todos sus nietos en cada oportunidad que tuvo y, en ese momento, parecía como si no tuviera dolor.

Martha era el tipo de persona que siempre ponía a todos antes de ella misma. Aun teniendo dos trabajos encontro el tiempo para su familia y se aseguraba de asistir a todos los eventos deportivos, ceremonias y graduaciones. Tenía memorizados los cumpleaños de todos y nunca dejaba pasar la oportunidad de presentarse con un pastel.

Tenía un corazón puro lleno de bondad y amor que era contagioso y evidente por la cantidad de personas que la querian.

Martha nació en San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. Fallecio despues de su padre Maximiano Rodriguez y hermano Alberto Rodriguez.
