Mary Ellen was well known among the tribal members of both The Cocopahs and Quechans as she worked at the then Fort Yuma Indian Hospital as a medical records receptionist. She was usually the first and last person you would see when coming in for service. She had watched you grow and start your own family. She even saw your children grow up. She was always there with a smile and concerned words for you and your family's health.
Even though we know she is finally at peace and beside our Maker, it does little to ease our sorrows.
She is preceded in death by parents Pedro and Lorena Jim; brothers, Pedro Jim Jr., Alfred and Leonard Jim; daughter, Elizabeth and Regina Keyoite and son Delbert Keyoite, and sisters Deloriah Philips and Fern Jim.
She is survived by brother, Eugene Jim; sisters, Veronica Colon and Sara Sams; sons, Tony and Martin Keyoite; daughter, Christina Keyoite, and numerous nephews, nieces, grand children, and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all of us.
Services will be Saturday June 30th, 2018 with viewing at 2pm to 3pm memorial service at 3pm to 4pm at Funeraria Del Angel Kammann 795 W 28th St. and the Cocopah Tribal Rites will be at the West Cocopah Cryhouse starting at 5pm.
