Mildred Louise Freeman, 83, of Holtville passed away of natural causes on June 17, 2011.
Louise, as she was known, was born in Holtville on October 24, 1927. In 1944 she met John T. Freeman Jr., and they were married on September 2, 1944, after only three dates. Louise worked for the Holtville School District in the high school cafeteria for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of Yuma's Pentecostal Assembly for 13 years.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro at 10 a.m. Interment will be immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Jr.; son, Jerry; granddaughter, Erika; sisters, Sybol and Joy; and brothers, Gib, Buck and Kent.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynda; son, John Freeman and Rosemary of Imperial; daughters, Fairelene Taylor and Kent of El Centro, Vicky Leimgruber and Ernie of Holtville, Jackie Collins of Mississippi, Kim Castleman and John of Washington and Janet Bloch and Stuart of Washington. She will be greatly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
