Robert was a retired police officer with the Huntington Park, CA police force. He also worked as a transportation officer for the US Border Patrol when he moved to Yuma, AZ.
Robert is survived by his wife Cheryln "Chery" Mercado; his daughter, Laura Mercado of California; and his siblings Larry Mercado, Richard Mercado, and Becky Glaser
A cremation for Robert will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Crematory, and the cremated remains are planned to be interred in Riverside, CA.
