

Robert “Chris” Rockwell, 61, was born July 14, 1953 in Yuma, Arizona and went to live with his Lord April 12, 2015 at his home in Wellton, Arizona.
Chris lived his entire live in Wellton, Arizona. He attended grade school at Wellton Elementary, high school at Antelope Union, and college at Arizona Western College, Yuma.
At the time of his death, he was working for ADOT in Yuma as mechanic, a job which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was owner of the water plant at Citrus City in Tacna, Arizona. He had worked at the chemical plant in Roll, drove a school bus for the Roll Elementary School, had worked at the cotton gin in Roll, and had been a mechanic and tow truck driver for Tipton’s in Tacna and Pete’s Body Shop in Wellton.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, particularly NASCAR racing, and camping with family and friends. He belonged to the Presbyterian Church in Wellton where he was an Elder in the church.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eva; all his grandparents; most of his aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Marjorie of Wellton; his brother, Glen of Washington; sisters, Susan Norton of New Mexico and Cindy of Wellton; five sons, Christopher (Lela) of Utah, Royal (Marisa) of Utah, Dustin (Vanessa) of Wellton, Brandon of Wellton, and Preston (Tiffany) of Utah. He is also survived by his father’s sister, Auntie Helen Lowe, who lives in Villisca, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, Mellissa, Fayth, Landen, Jasmine, Leann, Cameron, Brooklyn, Nathen, and Robbie; many cousins; three nephews; three nieces; and other estranged family.
There will be memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Wellton Community Presbyterian Church at 10410 Fresno Avenue, Wellton.
