Samuel was preceded in death by his daughter Marcia Peña-Tanner; parents Juana Peña Quinones & Samuel Salinas; and brother Jose Luis Peña Quinones.
Samuel was employed at Harrison Farms in Yuma, Arizona and had finally planned on retiring this year. He dedicated his life working in farming and had worked in agriculture for almost 50 years.
Samuel enjoyed working outside, whether it was tending to his large garden or working on his beloved classic cars. He was a mechanic for over 50 years and could fix anything. His love for food and cooking for others was something that will be greatly missed about him.
Samuel is survived by his wife Irma, of 47 years, their children Juana and Samuel, four grandchildren Francheska, Sebastian, Madeline, and Emily. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia (Ticha), Martha, Maria Luisa (Mari) and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. May 9th at Funeraria Del Angel Kammann. Burial will follow immediately at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
We would also like to send heartfelt and sincere appreciation to all the people who went to visit Samuel in the hospital in Phoenix and here in Yuma, including the rehab hospital. Your encouragement and time spent with him was something he enjoyed and appreciated greatly and made his time in the hospital more bearable for all of us, thank you.
Honorary Pallbearers are Isaias Peña, Daniel Gonzalez, Jonathan Morales, Jose Guerrero, Matthew Guerrero, Rodolfo Atondo, Erick Atondo, Frankie Vega, and Alyna Macadang Peña.
